Eric B Mays Foundations

The Eric B. Mays Foundations carries forward the legacy of the late activist, politician, and Councilman Eric Bradford Mays by serving individuals experiencing homelessness, supporting seniors, and investing in college education.

We believe the power of the people is greater than the people in power.

We do this through our Senior Stipend Program to help seniors who have a gap in essential needs, our Legacy Scholarship for college students, and our Homeless Outreach and Community Feeding Program.

The Eric B. Mays Foundations was founded in July 2025 by Founder and Executive Vice President Nickesha V. Reid of Jacksonville, Florida, under power of attorney for Eric Hakeem Deontaye Mays, President and heir and only son of the late activist, politician, and Councilman Eric Bradford Mays, and through the Estate of the late activist, politician, and Councilman Eric Bradford Mays.

We are dedicated to assisting individuals experiencing homelessness through outreach and community feeding, supporting seniors through financial literacy and our Senior Stipend Program, and providing scholarships for college students. We are planning to expand with primary care services for uninsured adults.

Headquartered in Flint, Michigan, with an office in Jacksonville, Florida, we serve families nationwide. Because Flint is where Councilman Mays served and where the need is greatest, 80% of our programs are dedicated to the residents of Flint, Michigan.
